The Club is mourning the loss of a champion

The Hawthorn Amateur Football Club Community is mourning the sad passing of one of its true legends in Dan Lauletta, who passed away peacefully on Saturday June 9, surrounded by family and friends.

A fearless leader in every way, Dan played 328 games for the Club, kicked over 1000 goals and is one of the most decorated players in the VAFA.

Dan was an absolute champion of the Club, winning the Senior Best & Fairest (2004 & 2006), League Best & Fairest (2006), Premierships (1998 & 2014), 13 time Club Leading Goalkicker (1997-2007, ’09, ’12), League Leading Goalkicker (1999), Reserves Best & Fairest (2016), Life Member, teammate and friend. He captained the Club from 2004 to 2007.

If there was a Best & Fairest award for 'life', he probably would have won that too.

He will be sorely missed by all who came in contact with him, he was a mate of anyone who pulled on a Hawks jumper.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Dan's parents Vinnie and Maria, brother Simon, fiancée Babs and their extended families.

Rest in peace now mate, hope you're backing a winner up there.
