The Hawthorn Amateur Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Phiv Demetriou as General Manager of Football for season 2021 and beyond.
Phiv will largely provide guidance and mentorship to the entire coaching group along with supporting the development of our player leadership programs. Phiv has a continuous improvement mindset which will boost the professionalism of all aspects of the club’s football department.
Phiv has a wealth of playing, coaching, kicking, development, and administrative football experience at AFL, TAC Cup (NAB League Cup) and community level. In particular, Phiv has extensive experience mentoring coaches at all levels across men’s and women’s football programs. Phiv is already a familiar face at the club, given his role as Director of Football for the HAFC Thirds side since 2011 where he played an integral part in all five of the Thirds’ premierships.
